Virtual Clarity offsets 226.58 tonnes of carbon emissions with ClimateCare partnership

At Virtual Clarity, we give a damn about the environment.

We’re making steps to take responsibility for our impact, and as part of that, have partnered with climate and sustainable development experts ClimateCare to offset carbon emissions – already offsetting 226.58 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide through projects that tackle global climate change and improve people’s lives so far!

As well as taking steps to reduce our footprint, unavoidable emissions will be offset through projects like the multiple award-winning LifeStraw Carbon for Water Project, which delivers safe water to more than four million people in Kenya, generating significant carbon reductions and enhancing the health of local communities by reducing exposure to waterborne disease.

Other projects include the provision of clean cookstoves in Ghana, which significantly improve health while cutting emissions and reducing deforestation.

“We are delighted to work with ClimateCare, who are experts in this field, with fifteen years’ experience running some of the most innovative and largest carbon offset programmes in the world,” said Virtual Clarity chief technology officer and president Rens Troost. “Working with them has helped us understand how we can integrate action to tackle climate change and improve people’s lives.”

“We are working with a range of organisations, from international corporates, governments and NGOs to deliver innovative projects at an unprecedented scale,” ClimateCare’s head of partnerships Robert Stevens explained. “Our Climate+Care model helps organisations take a smart approach to addressing their environmental impacts by offsetting their carbon emissions and supporting sustainable development”.
